NFPA 99 , 2018 Health care Facilities code
Purpose.
The purpose of this code is to provide minimum requirements for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, performance, and safe practices for facilities, material,
equipment, and appliances, including other hazards associated with the primary hazards.
-This code shall apply to all health care facilities other than home care and veterinary care
-Construction and equipment requirements shall be applied only to new construction and new equipment, except as modified in individual chapters
